Such developments come just four months after the 54-year-old became involved within the ownership structure at the Swansea.Com Stadium as the Welsh side look to eventually return to the Premier League for the first time since the 2017/18 season.

Only twice have the Swans come close to doing exactly that, having failed to reach the Championship play-off places since their defeat at the hands of Brentford in the final at Wembley Stadium under Steve Cooper in May 2021, having also achieved a top-six berth the previous season.

At present, Alan Sheehan is the man tasked with emulating such a feat, having been handed what is his first full-time managerial role after an impressive initial period as interim boss following the dismissal of Luke Williams - now of Peterborough United in League One - back in February after a poor run of form.

The Irishman has certainly earned mixed reviews from supporters across the opening three months of his first full season in the vacancy after an extremely exciting and active summer transfer window, during which 12 players moved to South Wales on a permanent or temporary basis amid a major squad reshuffle.

Ironically, it was a deal struck with the Glasgow giants that caught the most attention too, as Adam Idah ended a mixed spell north of the border by returning to the Championship in a deal worth at least £6m.

However, the Republic of Ireland international's switch may not be the only development involving both clubs which catches the eye of supporters.

Back in November 2024, current majority investors Andy Coleman, Brett Cravatt, Nigel Morris and Jason Cohen owned more than 80 percent of the Championship side after acquiring shares previously obtained by Steve Kaplan, Jason Levein and Jake Silverstein.

It was a deal in which at least £20m of fresh funding would be pumped into the club's coffers ahead of a new era, and one which has seen a handful of high-profile investors come to the table with added funds of their own.

Snoop Dogg fell into said category back in July, as he acquired a minority stake to become co-owner at the Swansea.Com Stadium after initially featuring during the club's home kit release, much to the initial bemusement and surprise of locals.

The California-born figure was well-known for being a supporter of the aforementioned Scottish side beforehand, though, having been spotted in a jersey over 20 years ago.

Having been joined by current AC Milan and former Ballon d'Or winner, Luka Modrić, as a minority investor in the Swans during the off-season, he has now stated he would like to help matters at Parkhead, a week after former Swans promotion-winning boss, Brendan Rodgers, resigned as manager and departed the Hoops for a second time.

When asked if he saw any scope for future involvement in Glasgow, he stated: “I don’t know about coach, but as an investor sure. Investing in Celtic is something I have talked about in the past and if the opportunity was right I would be down for it.

“Celtic is a huge club and fans want to see the best players playing in this great stadium. All the owners have got to do is ask.”

At present, Dermot Desmond is the man responsible for the majority of Celtic-related matters, as he is reported to have a 34.7% stake.

Swansea supporters would certainly not argue that Celtic are a much greater institution when it comes to British football, making involvement in the club particularly attractive, especially given Snoop Dogg's affinity to the club.

However, they would certainly hope that he would remain as interested in developments in South Wales as what occurred in Glasgow, should he obtain a stake in both clubs in the near future.

A recent example of this which split opinion amongst the fanbase of one of Swansea's divisional rivals was when extremely vocal Hull City owner, Acun Ilicali, became a board member at his boyhood club, Fenerbahçe.

Links between the two clubs have been well-documented, but sections of the MKM Stadium support began to question Ilicali's loyalties during a disastrous start to last season in East Yorkshire, before the Turkish media mogul left his post with the Istanbul side to fully put his eggs in the Tigers' basket.
