AC Milan retain an interest in signing Raphael Onyedika from Club Brugge, and a change in agent could prompt news about his future.
Milan were first linked with the Nigeria international back in the summer of 2022, but ironically missed out as Club Brugge used the money from Charles De Ketelaere’s sale to get a deal over the line.
According to Soccernet in Nigeria, Onyedika has changed representatives in anticipation of a ‘high-profile summer move’. Manchester City and Bayern Munich are among the clubs keen on the midfielder, who is ‘widely expected to leave Brugge at the end of the season’.
Onyedika signed for the Belgian club from FC Midtjylland in 2022 for €10m, Brugge are likely to demand more than €20m in order to sell him. Onyedika has signed with the CAA Stellar agency, who will be in charge of brokering a summer switch.
The report adds how sources close to the player suggest that he is ‘now positioning himself for a major transfer’, with Brugge ‘open to a sale provided their valuation is met’. Milan, Porto, Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund are also mentioned as suitors.
Club Brugge are already making plans to replace the 23-year-old. They want to keep Ardon Jashari for another year while also targeting Ludovit Reis as a long-term replacement.
