Sofie Svava seals permanent move to Como 1907 from OL Lyonnes | OneFootball

OL Lyonnes have confirmed the permanent transfer of Sofie Svava to Como 1907. The club said in a statement that the Denmark international departs with one year remaining on her Lyon contract, and did not disclose whether a fee was involved.

Svava joined Lyon in summer 2024 from Real Madrid and served as understudy to Selma Bacha on the left.

Across two seasons she made 48 appearances, scored three goals, and collected two league titles, the Coupe de France and the Coupe de la Ligue.

She will compete in Italy’s Serie A with Como 1907. The club launched its women’s programme in 2020 and dominated Serie B last season after entering directly by taking over Chievo Verona’s licence.

Her exit follows the recent departures of Kadidiatou Diani and Kysha Sylla as Lyon continue to trim their squad. Unless there is a new signing, Romane Rafalski, who has just signed her first professional deal, could deputise for Bacha on the left.
