Le Havre have secured the season-long loan of 23-year-old forward Sota Nakamura from Sanfrecce Hiroshima. He becomes their third Japanese player, joining Ayumu Seko, at the club for one year, and recent arrival Kaito Mizuta.
The club said in a statement that the move, overseen by sporting director Demba Ba, was a smart piece of business.
Nakamura won two Japan caps in September 2025, scoring once. He previously crossed paths with Mizuta at Maebashi Ikuei High School.
Able to lead the line or operate wide, the 1.68 m forward offers versatility.
He bolsters an attack that has lost Issa Soumaré to Rennes and Kenny Quetant to Werder Bremen, both on free transfers. The move makes him Le Havre’s fourth off-season addition.
