Souleymane Faye joins Lorient on loan from Sporting CP | OneFootball

Senegal winger Souleymane Faye, 23, will spend this season at Lorient after joining on loan from Sporting CP, with an option to buy.

L'Équipe reports that Lorient had tracked the wide player for weeks after first moving in June, and talks with Sporting concluded at the start of the weekend.

The agreement includes a purchase option set at €6.5m, slightly above the €6m Sporting paid Granada to sign him.

Faye had already given his approval in principle to relocate to Morbihan and has now signed his contract.

Brest attempted to enter the race with a loan proposal of their own, but made no headway.
