Aleksandar Pavlovic would be a dream signing in midfield for many Chelsea fans – and there are some tempting links emerging.

We’re into the final nine games of the season now, meaning transfer season is already just around the corner.

The first names of a potentially busy summer are starting to bubble, up and one that we’re really excited to see linked to Chelsea is Aleksandar Pavlovic. Rumours site CaughtOffside say that the Blues, along with Man City, are trying to figure out if there’s any way of persuading the German giants to part ways with the 21 year old.

Unfortunately for those of us who are big fans of Pavlovic, you can probably file this under “not going to happen.”

Bayern are always reluctant to let go of their best young stars, and players tend to be reluctant to leave the German giants where they’re all but guaranteed glory. As the article above puts it: “as long as the club continues to meet his ambitions, there would be no reason to seek a transfer.”

Under Vincent Kompany they feel like a rising force in football again, and look set to rack up more big trophies than Chelsea in the next ten years or so. Unless that changes, this remains a long shot.
