Crystal Palace has joined the race for Southampton prodigy Tyler Dibling. Surprisingly, despite better offers, Dibling has been told to prefer the Eagles.
No doubt Southampton's recent losses have been distressing, still, there's something that has saddened the fans even more. It's the noticeable dip in club prodigy Tyler Dibling's form.
Tell me, do you even remember the last time he scored? Well, how would you, after all, it's been quite a long time since then.
Now, agreed that the forward had a length injury in between, still, this alone can't justify his recent struggles. After all, the 18-year-old is one of the brightest English talents and needs to perform like one.
Naturally, as was expected, pundits and analysts have opined considering Dibling's form. And you know what? One of them is quite intriguing.
Well, so recently Crystal Palace joined the transfer race for Dibling. Now, that's not surprising at all for Dibling, who has offers from all over Europe. But what is a difficult pill to swallow, is former scout Mick Brown's piece of advice to Dibling.
Know what it is? Brown has advised Dibling to choose a Crystal Palace move snubbing other significant offers.
While speaking to Football Insider, Brown explained his Crystal Palace preference, saying: "Dibling is one of the names on their radar. They’ll be more likely to be able to offer first-team football, which could be a big thing for them."
Surely, at first, this suggestion feels intriguing, but this isn't bad at all. For a premature talent like Dibling, getting regular game time is a priority than being on the bench at a bigger club.
Otherwise also, from Southampton's perspective, a move to Selhurst Park seems beneficial. While Bayern or Tottenham might attract Dibling for a low price, Southampton can easily negotiate for a big fee with the Eagles.
Overall, though Mick Brown's advice doesn't come easy at first, it's a win-win solution for the Dibling transfer saga. May things happen accordingly.
