Southampton's next fixture could see manager sacking but not Ivan Juric

Ivan Juric deservedly won many Southampton fans on his side in the past outing but Tottenham fans don't feel the same way about Ange Postecoglou.

Everyone knows that Southampton's mid-week clash with Crystal Palace had no collective winner. From the Saints' viewpoint, the full-time whistle was equivalent to an added-time defeat but still, there emerged one underappreciated winner from the Southampton camp.

Now, keeping the game-changers aside, that victorious individual is Ivan Juric. Apart from him, almost every other Premier League manager is relaxed from the campaign's intense phase without fearing about a relegation or any qualification scenario.

They know their team's current top-flight future is almost sealed but Juric doesn't enjoy this luxury just yet. To give an idea, the Croatian arrived in front of the Southampton faithful with two gruelling anxieties.

The first one was to spring across Derby County's checkpoint and the other was to restore some St. Mary's pride in his short and tricky tenure. After fulfilling the latter with a respectable scoreline, Juric has earned a fraction of the trust placed in him by Southampton fans.

Ange Postecoglou might be sacked before Ivan Juric

Plus, it's an unspoken Premier League practice that falling out with the fans means falling out with the club. Hence, Juric has safeguarded his managerial role before the weekend fixture but his Tottenham peer might oversee the sacking.

Even though it's an early idea but Tottenham fans have made their disapproval known for Ange Postecoglou's unimpressive actions. Now, the discontent started with a poor substitute decision which isn't intriguing but the way the two parties reacted according to a Goal report, only serves to add fuel to a coaching overhaul.

Clearly, that's not meant to underestimate Tottenham or to label Southampton as match favourites in front of them. Rather, the Saints know they aren't the only ones who will be interviewing new managers anytime soon.

About the away visit, Southampton have their sizeable winning hopes even if that figure is nominal as compared to Tottenham.
