Spain forced to cancel final training before World Cup final | OneFootball

Spain have cancelled their final scheduled training session ahead of Sunday's World Cup final after severe weather disrupted plans in New Jersey.

The session, which was due to take place on Saturday, was called off because of heavy rain and adverse weather conditions in the area. Safety protocols prevented any outdoor activity from going ahead.

Training had originally been scheduled to begin at midday, but organisers later confirmed there would only be a short training window between 1:15pm and 2:00pm. Spain decided not to take part as a result.

Argentina, who are also based in the area ahead of the final, were able to complete their final training session despite the poor weather.

It is not the first time Spain's preparations have been disrupted during the tournament, with another training session previously cancelled while the team were based in Chattanooga.
