Spain Under-21 international and Bournemouth full-back Alex Jimenez has admitted that playing in the 2026 World Cup remains his ultimate dream.

The 20-year-old defender made the revelation during a detailed interview with Radioestadio Noche following his impressive transition to the Premier League.

Since joining the Cherries from AC Milan, Jimenez has established himself as an undisputed starter under manager Andoni Iraola.

Despite his youth, the former Real Madrid academy prospect believes he is ready to help the senior national team if called upon.

The defender’s journey to the South Coast involved a difficult departure from Real Madrid, where he spent over a decade.

Jimenez revealed that his final year in the Spanish capital was psychologically taxing, leading to a move to Italy.

Jiménez credits Andoni Iraola as his most influential professional coach. The Spaniard noted Iraola’s immense tactical trust.

This belief enabled him to adapt quickly to the physical demands of English football.

In a light-hearted moment, he shared a funny anecdote. His current manager even granted him permission to dye his hair white.

Former Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri previously forbade this bold look. He reportedly ordered the youngster to cut it off during his Serie A stint.

As a La Fábrica product, Jiménez cited two primary stylistic role models. He heavily studies Dani Carvajal and Theo Hernández.

However, he named a former Barcelona legend as his childhood idol. Dani Alves remains his ultimate inspiration.

With the 2026 World Cup approaching, Jimenez remains calm but ambitious about his international future.

He continues to focus on his performances at the Vitality Stadium to ensure he remains on the radar for Luis de la Fuente’s senior squad.
