Spain are set to face Argentina in the World Cup final, and the squad's playful pledges are back in focus.

According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, pre-tournament vows that once sounded like dressing-room banter have gone viral as fans resurface clips and interviews. A win could trigger tattoos and makeovers across the squad.

Standout promises include Baena, Borja Iglesias and Marc Cucurella saying they would tattoo Luis de la Fuente's face if Spain win. Baena specified his left leg, where his football-themed ink sits.

Pedri pledged to dye his hair white or blond. Gavi went further with pink, while Ferran Torres said he would shave his head.

Lamine Yamal said on his YouTube channel he would keep a beard and moustache for three weeks and give away 100 Beats headphones, calling it a notable aesthetic sacrifice.

David Raya plans a World Cup-themed tattoo, design still undecided. Fabián Ruiz left his pledge to the fans, promising to do whatever they choose.

In contrast, Nico Williams declined to make any promise, preferring to focus on football rather than tempt fate.

Cucurella has repeated his tattoo vow in several interviews and has yet to pick the spot. He previously dyed his hair red at the Euros and says a World Cup merits something bolder.
