Spain’s training halted by thunderstorm in Chattanooga | OneFootball

Spain’s training in Chattanooga was halted on Monday afternoon by a severe thunderstorm.

According to L'Équipe, the squad moved inside to continue the session at the Baylor School gym, their base in Tennessee for the opening round. Strong winds were also forecast later in the evening.

The session had begun with a light-hearted slap tunnel to mark birthdays for Mikel Merino and Rodri. The head taps were firm.

Head coach Luis de la Fuente was also put through the tradition, although the players were gentler with him.

La Roja will fly on Wednesday to Guadalajara, Mexico, to face Uruguay on Friday in their third World Cup group match.
