Luciano Spalletti is not expected to leave Juventus, having just signed a contract extension to 2028, but the Italian tactician reportedly expects to have more control over the club’s transfer moves, which a lack of Champions League revenues might influence.
Juventus coach Spalletti is set to meet with club owner John Elkann in the coming days to discuss the next steps towards the 2026-27 campaign.
Juventus risk missing out on the top four, two points behind a Champions League place with only one game left.
Italian media have reported that Spalletti has had disagreements with the CEO, Damien Comolli, especially regarding transfers, so, according to Corriere dello Sport, the Italian tactician will demand more power over the market from Elkann.

Spalletti is also concerned about the potential sales of big players, which might be necessary to offset the loss of Champions League income.
According to Gazzetta, Juventus won’t consider Kenan Yildiz’s departure, while Gleison Bremer could be heading out of the Allianz Stadium in the summer, with Liverpool and Manchester United among the interested clubs.
