It will be Rangers who kick off the season on that Friday night, as they will travel to Tannadice Park to face Dundee United. Both sides’ fierce rivals will also face off to close the weekend, when Celtic host Dundee on Monday night.

Other opening weekend fixtures include: Aberdeen v Hearts, St.Johnstone v Kilmarnock, Falkirk v St.Mirren and Hibernian v Motherwell.

The first Old Firm of the season will take place at Celtic Park on Sunday, September 20th, live on Sky Sports. Whilst the New Year’s Derby will see Celtic head to Ibrox on January 2nd. The final pre-split clash between the two will take place at Celtic Park on February 27th.

Down in Edinburgh, Hearts and Hibernian will meet for the first time this season at Easter Road on Friday, September 2nd, with the reverse fixture being played at Tynecastle on Boxing Day. The final Edinburgh derby of the regular season will take place in Leith on April 10th.

Meanwhile, Tannadice Park will host the opening Dundee derby of the season on Saturday, August 22nd, before making the short trip across the road to Dens Park on January 2nd. The derby will then return to United’s home ground on March 13th.
