Spurs boss Frank believes fans are still behind him – and reveals midfielder is a doubt | OneFootball

Thomas Frank says that he still believes that the fans are behind him, despite being booed off after Spurs’ 0-0 draw with Brentford.

Tottenham struggled to create chances against Brentford in their first game of 2026 and currently sit 12th in the Premier League.

The manager received boos from the fans after the match, alongside chants of ‘boring boring Tottenham’ throughout from their own supporters.

Another reason for Spurs’ lack of creativity in the match was that they were without Lucas Bergvall and Xavi Simons. Xavi has one more game out after his red card against Liverpool and Frank gave an injury update on the Swede.

“Lucas Bergvall is a doubt but we hope he’ll be ready,” he said.

With Spurs in 12th in the Premier League and out of the League Cup there has been little improvement from the 17th-placed finish last year under Ange Postecoglou, but Frank backs himself to turn it around.
