Dominic Solanke will again miss out for Spurs when they face rivals Chelsea on Tuesday.

The striker has missed his side’s last two games after going off injured in the win over Wolves last month.

Boss Roberto De Zerbi hopes to have Solanke back involved for Sunday’s final game of the season against Everton, but says he will not risk him for their next clash.

“Solanke is not good yet, he’s not available,” he said.

“He feels something and I don’t want to take a risk for this game.

“We hope maybe for Sunday he will be available for one part of the game.”

But in more positive news for Spurs, goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario is back available after his hernia surgery.

De Zerbi now faces a difficult decision as to whether to stick with Antonin Kinsky in goal, who has impressed of late, or instead reinstate usual first-choice keeper Vicario.

“Vicario is available to play, I will decide tomorrow,” De Zerbi said.

“Vicario is number one but we have to consider the physical condition, the moment, everything. But I have a big relationship with Antonin Kinsky and with Vicario as well, and there will not be any problem.”

James Maddison, meanwhile, missed training after making his return to action in the draw with Leeds after a year on the sidelines.

But De Zerbi says he has looked good in the last few days and is again expected to be part of the squad against Chelsea.

“The beginning of this week, he didn’t work because of a small problem, but yesterday and today, James worked very well.

“He’s a special player, a different player, now he is not ready to play 90 minutes. I want to speak with him tomorrow morning and to take the best decision we can.”

West Ham’s defeat to Newcastle on Sunday means Spurs highly likely will only need a point from their last two games to secure Premier League survival, given their vastly superior goal difference to the Hammers.
