WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official media update from The Lilywhites this morning.
The 25-year-old sustained the injury as Spurs defeated Aston Villa 2-1 at the BetWright Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Naz left the field on a stretcher 19 minutes from time and she was swiftly replaced by Martha Thomas.
Naz’s injury has now been fully-assessed by the Spurs medical team and it has been confirmed that she has ruptured her Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL). The player will soon undergo surgery before beginning a lengthy rehabilitation process. She will not be available for selection for the remainder of the season and could potentially miss the early weeks of the 2026/2027 campaign.
The forward is no stranger to Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injuries. She sustained the same injury earlier in her career and was forced to miss Spurs’ debut season in the Barclays Women’s Super League back in 2019/2020.
Naz’s injury is a real blow for Spurs with the North Londoners thriving under new boss Martin Ho this season. The club are currently occupying fifth place in the table and have every chance of pushing for European qualification for the very first time in their history.
