WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Lilywhites this afternoon.
The 33-year-old Jamaican international keeper joined Spurs on a free transfer in summer 2019 after leaving West Ham United. The player has gone on to make 74 appearances for The Lilywhites in the Barclays Women’s Super League, helping Spurs to establish themselves in the top tier.
Spencer is an important member of the Spurs squad and the club have therefore moved to retain her services for an extended period.
After extending her stay with Spurs, Spencer said “I’m over the moon. I’ve been here for a long time now so for me, it was important that I got this done.
“After having conversations with Robert [Vilahamn], it’s really pleasing that they want to keep me here. I’m really, really happy.
“I want to continue on this journey with the girls but take it game-by-game. I also want to make an impact off the pitch and help the youngsters and those coming through, so that when my time’s done, I can leave feeling happy.”
Spurs are next in action on Friday night when they travel to Manchester City in the Barclays Women’s Super League.
