St. Paul provide injury update on Eric Smith | OneFootball

Eric Smith faces a spell on the sidelines after picking up an injury on international duty with Sweden.

As FC St. Pauli announced on Tuesday, the 29-year-old has suffered a structural muscle injury in his left calf.

The Bundesliga club didn't provide a timeframe for the Swedish international's recovery.

So far this season, the versatile defender has made 27 appearances, scoring two goals and providing two assists.

Smith's injury is a major blow for St. Pauli, who currently sit 16th in the table and are fighting to avoid relegation.
