St. Pauli sign Rony Jansson from Kalmar FF ahead of new season | OneFootball

St. Pauli have completed the signing of Finnish right-back Rony Jansson from Kalmar FF.

The 22-year-old arrives a week before the second-tier campaign begins, according to BuLi News.

Jansson made his senior Finland debut last month in a 2-1 defeat to Hungary, and captained national youth sides from U18 to U21.

He spent the past three seasons with Allsvenskan club Kalmar FF, scoring three goals in 14 appearances last term.

He will replace Manolis Saliakas, who has joined Olympiacos.

St. Pauli open at home against Greuther Fürth. After Alexander Blessin’s side finished bottom of Bundesliga, former Holstein Kiel coach Marcel Rapp was appointed as the new boss.

Elsewhere, fellow Finland international Santeri Väänänen moved to Karlsruhe from Rosenborg BK earlier this week.
