St. Pauli ‘to target’ ex-Kiel coach Marcel Rapp after Blessin exit | OneFootball

St. Pauli are moving quickly to find a successor after it became clear they would part with Alexander Blessin, with former Holstein Kiel coach Marcel Rapp under consideration.

Sky Germany reports that the recently relegated Bundesliga side are interested in Rapp, and that an agreement is still pending.

Rapp, 47, guided Holstein Kiel to the Bundesliga in 2024, and initially kept his job following their immediate relegation.

As a drop to the 3. Liga loomed during the 2025-26 campaign, Kiel dismissed him.

He has also been linked with Arminia Bielefeld. A move to St. Pauli would see him return to the 2. Bundesliga with the Kiezkickers for the 2026-27 season.
