It's been a Premier League season made for the fans of clean sheets. Goals have not been flowing quite as much as they once did, and the stats put that on full display.

Tactical trends ebb and flow in the Premier League, and we're currently in the midst of what once felt like the old-school Premier League: set piece supremacy and marginal gains.
And according to Opta, 0-0 draws are all-too normal in the current season of England's top-flight.
After Sunderland and Manchester United finished scoreless earlier today, there have now been 27 goalless draws in the Premier League this season, as many as there were in 2023-24 and 2024-25 seasons combined!
Is it a trend that is here to stay, or will the handbrake be taken off by some revolutionary new style of play in the coming years?
