Maksymilian Stryjek set the tone in the 22nd minute with a sharp low save and then shut the door, sealing Kilmarnock's 1-0 win at Hibernian.

The goalkeeper's first big moment came when he dived left to stop Callum Wright's effort from the centre of the box, a warning that Stryjek would dominate his area from there.

After the restart he blocked Jason Kerr's close-range header (61.). He then tipped over Miguel Chaiwa's rising strike from distance (70.) as Hibs pushed with waves of pressure.

Stryjek still had work to do late on, parrying Josh Mulligan's drive from the right side of the box (80.). Kilmarnock finished with ten men after Djenairo Daniëls received a second yellow in the second minute of second half stoppage time. The Pole then preserved the result again in the third minute of second half stoppage time, palming away Felix Passlack's shot bound for the top corner.

He finished with seven saves, five from inside the box, plus five high claims that relieved pressure from the Hibees' 15 corners. It was a commanding display under an aerial bombardment that repeatedly forced Kilmarnock back.
