Compared to last season under Simone Inzaghi, Inter increased overall ball recoveries this season, averaging 44.4 per match.

Furthermore, recoveries in the front third have risen to 7.4 per game, highlighting the ambition to retrieve possession quickly.

As a result, the team is creating more shots from advanced recoveries, averaging 1.7 per match.

However, such an aggressive approach is taking a toll, with the Nerazzurri committing more fouls than the rest of the league.

Indeed, they made 26 fouls in Sunday’s 2-0 win against Lazio, significantly exceeding Serie A’s average of 14.5 per game.
