Steeve Kango set to sign first professional contract with Lyon | OneFootball

French youth international Steeve Kango (19) is set to sign his first professional contract with Olympiquye Lyonnais in the coming days, according to a report from L’Équipe. The teenager is set to become the latest player from OL’s esteemed Meyzieu academy to sign professional terms with the club. 

Lyon have a knack for producing young talents and Kango could be the latest as he pens his first contract with the club. Despite not yet receiving a professional deal, the 19-year-old has already made his debut for his boyhood club. The Frenchman emerged as a surprise starter during a UEFA Europa League game against Celta Vigo. 

Kango already making appearances for Lyon

The versatile defender is able to play at both right-back and left-back. He has already made 6 appearances for Les Gones, and will be hoping for more senior appearances after signing his first professional contract.
