Australian defender Steph Catley has signed a new contract with Arsenal to extend her stay with the club.
The 32-year-old first joined the Gunners from Melbourne City in the summer of 2020 and has since gone on to feature 165 times, scoring four times.
"It feels amazing," Catley said about signing a new contract, which is a two-year deal as reported by the BBC's Emma Sanders.
"There's really nowhere else that I would rather be and it's always nice to have that faith from the coach and from the club. It was an absolute no-brainer.
"It's been a journey of many, many ups and downs. When I first came to the club, I think my first training session I got injured and then that whole season I was pretty much out, dealing with different injuries and felt very, very far away from home. Completely new team, new country, everything."
This season, Catley has featured 27 times for Arsenal and was a part of the Australia team that finished runners-up in the Asian Cup back in March.
