In this role, she will contribute to the strategic development of refereeing across Europe. The brief also covers referee appointments, performance review, technical advice and the ongoing development of match officials for UEFA competitions.

In 2019, aged 35, Frappart became the first woman to referee a Ligue 1 match, Amiens against Strasbourg. Later that year she handled the UEFA Super Cup between Liverpool and Chelsea, the first woman to oversee a men’s UEFA final.

At the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, she became the first woman to referee at a men’s World Cup, leading an all-female officiating team for Costa Rica against Germany in the group stage.

She has also refereed the 2019 Women’s World Cup final.
