Steve Clarke signs Scotland deal to 2030 before World Cup | OneFootball

The Scottish FA announced on Thursday that Steve Clarke has extended his contract as Scotland head coach until 2030. His previous deal was due to end after this summer's World Cup, staged from 11 June to 19 July.

In charge since 2019, Clarke can now target Euro 2028, which Scotland will co-host but are not automatically qualified for, and the 2030 World Cup if they make it.

The emphasis is on long-term planning, with a focus on being competitive this summer and building calmly beyond the tournament.

Under Clarke, Scotland reached the last two European Championships, exiting at the group stage each time.

This summer brings their first World Cup since 1998. They have been drawn in Group C with Brazil, Haiti and Morocco.
