STJD sets date to hear Santos bid to annul Coritiba match | OneFootball

According to Diario Do Peixe, the STJD will hear Santos' bid to annul last Sunday's Brasileirão 2026 match with Coritiba, alleging an error of law over a substitution involving Neymar Jr and Robinho Junior.

The Pleno of the Superior Tribunal de Justiça Desportiva do Futebol will assess the case on Friday 22 at 10:00. The hybrid session will stream live on the STJD website, with Marcelo Bellizze as rapporteur.

Santos argue officials overrode the coaching staff and substitution protocol by ordering Neymar off for Robinho Junior. The incident occurred in the 20th minute of the second half as Neymar was being treated on the touchline.

The fourth official displayed the board for the number 10 to leave and for Robinho Junior to enter. Santos say they had requested Escobar's substitution. Neymar then tried to re-enter and was cautioned.

The club contend this was an error of law, saying the fourth official selected the outgoing player rather than executing the change communicated by Santos, in breach of Rule 3, item 3, of the Rules of Football.

Santos also seek an inquiry into a possible disciplinary infraction by the officials under article 259 of the CBJD. They ask that the Confederação Brasileira de Futebol president not ratify the result pending a final ruling, that Santos FC v Coritiba SAF be annulled and rescheduled, or, failing that, referral to the STJD Prosecutor's Office.
