Strasbourg board and ultras edge towards detente as talks restart | OneFootball

Negotiations have resumed between Strasbourg’s hierarchy and the ultras opposed to multi-ownership, with early signs of a thaw visible at recent games. During last Thursday’s 4-0 Conference League win over Mainz, the blue-white-black dressing returned behind the kop and the 1906 numerals reappeared above the four entrances in the West Stand. The same set-up was seen again on Wednesday night.

According to L'Équipe, dialogue has quietly restarted and is proving productive. UB90 and three other groups were told last week that restrictions imposed in September have been eased, including restored priority access to the stadium and their base beneath the stand before matches without a security escort, enabling tifos to return.

Checks on banners have also been relaxed. The only continuing ban covers “BlueCo out” sheets and large flags, though isolated personal displays cannot realistically be policed, and a few were seen against Mainz.

Day-to-day operational dialogue never stopped, and compulsory identification for each away trip was lifted swiftly. Trust has been rebuilt month by month, though agreement on multi-ownership in principle may never be reached.

Talks in late 2025 had already reached similar conclusions, but neither side pushed further at the time. Common ground has now been found, yet the central issue remains a strike on vocal support that has silenced the opening quarter of an hour at Racing since summer 2024. No suspension has been requested in exchange for the easing, and the associations will review their actions in the summer before deciding whether to continue.
