Strasbourg facing Lyon and Toulouse competition to sign Unión Santa Fe’s Mateo Del Blanco | OneFootball

RC Strasbourg Alsace are reportedly targeting Unión Santa Fe’s Mateo Del Blanco (22) ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window, according to L’Équipe. However, competition to secure the Argentine’s signature could prove tougher than expected for the Alsatians, with several local sources also suggesting that Olympique Lyonnais and Toulouse FC are interested in the left-back.

Having already made over 100 appearances for his youth club, Del Blanco is under contract there until December 2028. However, a fee of €3 million could be enough to persuade Unión Santa Fe to let him go. Should he join Strasbourg, the 22-year-old would bolster the left side of the Strasbourg defence, where Ben Chillwell (29) is currently the only specialist in that position.

A key member of the team managed by Leonardo Madeló, Del Blanco has started every one of the 16 matches he has played since the start of the season, scoring two goals and providing one assist.
