Strasbourg are monitoring Argentine left-back Mateo Del Blanco of Union Santa Fé.

Beaten 0-2 by Nice in the Coupe de France semi-finals, Strasbourg still have a shot at silverware in the Europa Conference League. Argentine media report that Lyon and Toulouse are also tracking the 22-year-old.

The club recognise weaknesses out wide, with only Ben Chilwell regarded as a natural option at left-back.

Del Blanco has already passed 100 appearances for Union Santa Fé despite his age, and Strasbourg’s decision-makers have made initial approaches.

He is under contract until December 2028 and could be available for around €3m, the fee requested by his club. He also holds a Spanish passport.
