Stuttgart and Deniz Undav ‘to open’ contract talks during international break | OneFootball

VfB Stuttgart are reportedly planning discussions with Deniz Undav’s representatives over a contract extension during the international break.

Sport Bild reports that the Bundesliga club have arranged talks with the striker’s agency to clarify his future.

Undav’s current deal runs until 2027, and Stuttgart are keen to avoid him entering its final year. If no new agreement is reached, the club could look to sell him in the summer to avoid a free exit in 2027.

The 29-year-old has enhanced his bargaining position with strong form in 2026. He is already among Stuttgart’s highest earners on around €4.5 million a year.

Undav initially joined on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion, a move made permanent in summer 2024.
