Stuttgart reject Hull City approach for defender | OneFootball

Sport Bild recently linked VfB Stuttgart right-back Josha Vagnoman with a move to newly-promoted Premier League side Hull City.

According to Kicker, Hull did indeed make an enquiry about signing Vagnoman, but their approach proved unsuccessful.

The reason is that the English club were only interested in taking the 25-year-old on loan, which was not an option for Stuttgart.

Even a permanent transfer is considered unlikely at this stage. With Lorenz Assignon expected to remain sidelined for several weeks after undergoing shoulder surgery, Vagnoman is needed for cover on the right side of defence.

In general, Stuttgart’s aim is to keep their squad together as much as possible ahead of the upcoming season.

“We are heading into a Champions League season. We already experienced two years ago that this is demanding. That’s why it will be important that we have a very strong team ready to go,” said head coach Sebastian Hoeneß.

Vagnoman’s contract with Stuttgart runs until 2028.
