Sunderland climbed into the top half of the Premier League with a crucial, deserved victory over Spurs at the Stadium of Light on Sunday afternoon.
According to Sunderland Echo, Nordi Mukiele's second-half strike took a heavy deflection to put Regis Le Bris's side in front after missed chances, with Spurs largely kept at arm's length.
Robin Roefs produced two excellent saves, most notably denying Solanke from close range before the interval. He handled set pieces well and his distribution was largely tidy, rated seven.
Operating from right-back, Mukiele repeatedly stepped into aggressive areas and his ambition to shoot brought the breakthrough. He defended superbly after the restart and injected energy and personality, rated eight.
Luke O'Nien impressed. His tackle on Muani prompted a penalty that VAR correctly overturned, and he otherwise passed out calmly and made key challenges, rated seven.
Omar Alderete delivered another strong display, dominant against Solanke and consistently secure in possession. He merited an eight.
In all, 14 Black Cats featured.
