Sunderland second-half ratings as defender shines in promising York City showing | OneFootball

Sunderland’s youthful second-half XI produced a composed display at York City, responding to an early setback with a goal from Tom Proctor.

According to Sunderland Echo, an experienced Sunderland side won the first half 4-0, after which head coach Regis Le Bris changed all 11 players.

Jenson Seelt was the standout performer at centre-back, reading the game superbly and making key interventions. He looked in excellent condition and earned an eight.

Right-back Jenson Jones was steady and diligent, showing some neat touches on the ball for a six. Goalkeeper Simon Moore was beaten by a corner soon after the restart, then had little to do and took a five.

Leo Hjelde began solidly but missed a tackle on halfway and suffered an injury midway through the half. He was forced off in clear discomfort and was not rated.
