Sunderland set out how ticket ballots and new membership will work | OneFootball

Sunderland have detailed how ticket ballots will operate as their three-tier membership went on sale to fans at 10am on Tuesday. The club said in a Q&A that home tickets would be balloted to Black Cats Adult and Academy members first, with any remaining seats going to general sale, and that more details will follow in the coming weeks.

Season Ticket Plus is for existing season ticket holders, including bonus content, events and access to an away-game ballot. Black Cats Adult is for non-season ticket holders, adding content, events, access to the season ticket waiting list and a home-game ballot. Black Cats Academy mirrors the Adult tier for children.

Season ticket holders’ access to Europa League home games is not affected. They will follow the usual cup process and have a priority sales window, with existing privileges unchanged.

For home ballots, supporters can state preferred areas or select no preference. Seats are auto-assigned in line with those choices, then fans must complete purchase to secure their ticket.

One membership equals one ticket. Families or groups who want to sit together must all be members, can link accounts and apply as a group, with the option to proceed if adjacent seats are not available.

Any U16 account must be linked to an adult member when applying. If an U16 wins but is not seated next to the linked adult, supporters can contact the club to arrange a seat move before the game.

For away matches, 10% of the general admission allocation is reserved for a ballot. The Black Cat Points scheme continues, with 90% released across Phases 1 and 2, and any tickets left after both phases and the ballot going to Phase 3.

For non-members, chances to buy after ballots could be scarce given last season’s demand.
