Sunderland step up search for left back as Sadiki targets more goals | OneFootball

Sunderland’s transfer push is expected to accelerate in the final five weeks of the window. According to Sunderland Echo, the club are prioritising the left side of defence.

Dennis Cirkin has departed on a free earlier this summer, while Arthur Masuaku is widely expected to move on and has interest from Turkish club Konyaspor.

That leaves Régis Le Bris with Reinildo as his only recognised left back. The experienced defender was a key performer last season and, at 32, is now into the second and final year of his contract.

Noah Sadiki has linked up with his team-mates in Nashville and says he wants to increase his goal contributions this season. He trained alongside Robin Roefs, Brian Brobbey, Simon Adingra, Habib Diarra and Nilson Angulo after their World Cup commitments.

The Black Cats travel to New Jersey this week to face Leeds United, then conclude their US tour in Pennsylvania on Sunday.
