Sunderland’s Europa League qualification has stirred early summer transfer talk, with potential movement in both directions on Wearside.
TEAMtalk reports that Sunderland, along with Everton and Leeds United, are monitoring Tammy Abraham’s situation at Aston Villa. The forward joined in January for about £21m and made 12 Premier League appearances, 10 as a substitute, and a departure has been touted.
Sky Sports News says goalkeeper Anthony Patterson is a target for Wrexham, and is also on the radars of recently relegated Wolves and Millwall. He spent the second half of the 2025/26 season on loan at Millwall, and Sunderland are said to be seeking £8m to £10m.
Mozzart Sport reports that midfielder Milan Aleksic is set for a season-long loan to Partizan Belgrade, with an option-to-buy clause still being discussed.
Journalist Igor Burbas states that Nazariy Rusyn will join Karpaty Lviv this summer. With the 27-year-old under contract at Sunderland until 2027, any exit in the near term would more than likely be permanent, and he has previously had loan spells with Hajduk Split and Arka Gdynia.
