A win over Saturday’s visitors Wolves would take Leeds United nine points clear of the drop zone, and a new supercomputer forecast carries a positive view of their run-in. According to Opta, its updated projection sets out the final Premier League table and points.

Daniel Farke’s side moved six points clear of third-bottom Tottenham with Monday night’s 2-1 victory at Manchester United at Old Trafford. The cushion could widen on Saturday afternoon.

Spurs, still seeking a first league win of 2026, do not play until the 5.30pm kick-off when new boss Roberto De Zerbi welcomes former club Brighton. That match follows Leeds’ game.

Fourth-bottom West Ham, four points behind Leeds, are not in action until Monday night at Crystal Palace. Fifth-bottom Nottingham Forest, three behind the Whites, host second-bottom Burnley on Sunday.

Bottom-placed Wolves at 3pm therefore represent a significant opening, though Leeds will still have five fixtures left, including trips to Tottenham and West Ham.

Opta’s forecast has Arsenal top on 82 points, five clear of Manchester City on 77. Aston Villa are projected to finish third with 65, up from fourth, with Manchester United fourth on 64. Liverpool are predicted to place fifth on 61, with Chelsea sixth on 57.
