After both getting their names on the scoresheet in a dramatic come-from-behind Bundesliga victory over SC Freiburg, two of Bayern Munich (and Germany’s) brightest young talents are feeling confident ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League quarterfinal fixture. Bayern goal-scorers and German senior team international’s Lennart Karl and Tom Bischof have both issued warnings to Real Madrid

Karl noted that both he and the Bayern locker room were brimming with confidence after Saturday’s Bundesliga win. Karl – who has expressed interest in playing for Real someday – appears solely interested in bearing the Spanish Royals for now.

[This result] instilled in us great confidence,” Karl remarked in the mixed zone. “We were just saying in the locker room, ‘Hey, we can beat anyone now’.

Tom Bischof ready for Real Madrid

This was the perfect game [ahead of the UCL encounter],” Bischof told German broadcaster DAZN. “Because it simply reminds us what kind of team we are. We stick together. We played shorthanded [in previous UCL games] against PSG and [Bayer] Leverkusen.

Those were very meaningful results for us too because they brought us closer together,” Bischof continued. “We’ll still have to step it up two or three notches [against Real], but are ready.
