In the summer of 2025, Nicolas Jackson moved from Chelsea FC to FC Bayern. At the time, it was mainly his advisor who fought for the deal to be completed. And it is precisely this advisor who is playing an important role now
The attacker, who acts as backup to Harry Kane, is indeed putting up decent numbers, but it was clear early on that Jackson would not reach the number of games required to trigger the purchase obligation
Bayern’s sporting director Max Eberl recently announced that they would not be taking up the option with Jackson either, although there have been rumours in the background about another loan or a purchase if an agreement could be reached with Chelsea on a transfer fee
The theory was that the Blues could move away from the sum they were actually asking for and that Bayern would therefore make a move for Jackson after all. However, according to a report by The Athletic , the Blues are prepared to let Jackson go, but not for a cheaper price

According to the report, the Blues still value the player internally at around 60 million pounds, which is the equivalent of almost 70 million euros. Bayern will not spend such a sum on a mere backup, which is why the English medium writes that FCB are now looking for a striker in order to find a suitable candidate
What happens next for Jackson is still up in the air. There is interest from the Premier League and Serie A, but it is not yet very concrete. Until recently, the advisors were still hopeful that the FC Bayern chapter would continue, which is why they have not yet forced any concrete exchange with other teams.
