Sydney Sweeney, a football fan, showed tidy ball control on the José Alvalade pitch after Sporting beat Estoril 3-0 on Friday. According to L'Équipe, she had been invited by the club.

The Euphoria and White Lotus star stepped onto the turf after the Portuguese league’s matchday 24 fixture to show a few tricks.

In a video, she smiles as she strings together keepy-uppies, side steps and a few dribbles, applauded by Sporting’s mascot, Jubas.

The club presented her with a personalised shirt.

With 26 million Instagram followers, her cameo provided a notable publicity boost for the Portuguese side.
