Kysha Sylla is officially a new Juventus player, joining the Bianconere on a three-year deal until 30 June, 2029. Shortly after her arrival in Turin, she sat down to give her first interview as a Bianconera.
“Before signing, I spoke a lot with Coach [Isaac] Guerrero,” Kysha said. “We spoke a lot, and the strong sense of motivation I felt from the club was contagious. Once I got here, I was blown away by the facilities. There’s an excellent training center and a solid project. These were what gave me the right feeling to join.
“I know Sofia Cantore from my time in the United States, and we had already spoken about Juventus. She always told me about the high standards here, the facilities, and the mindset that everybody at this club has.”
“I’m a defender who enjoys the one-on-one battles in a match, and I like sacrificing myself for the team. If I had to think about my main strengths, my athletic abilities stand out. I’m not afraid of physical contact, no matter who I’m up against, and that’s my greatest asset.”
“I think my background will help me a lot, because it combines two different but complementary worlds. In France, there’s more focus on the technical side of the game, while in the US, it’s more on the athletic side. This is a good mix for Italian football, which is tactically excellent, but also physical. Everything I’ve learned will help me here.”
“I’ve spent years playing for teams that demand the utmost determination, both in training and matches. That’s exactly the energy I want to bring here. The goal is to push ourselves as much as possible, and to never give up. The biggest challenge is the Champions League, we want to qualify and then go as far as possible, aiming for the knockout stages. Then, of course, there’s the league, where the goal is always to win and to continue Juventus’ legacy, which has always been winning trophies.”
