Taking no risks: Barcelona have reportedly made a big decision ahead of facing Chelsea in the Champions League this week.
As we move on from home domestic football being back over the weekend, attentions will now turn to Champions League football this week.
It’s the biggest competition in domestic football and every club in Europe strives to win this one. Chelsea of course have won it twice, and they would do anything to win it again this season.
They have some huge games coming up now as they look to try and qualify for the next stages of the competition, and the next one is Barcelona rolling into town this Tuesday night.
There has been a lot of talk in the lead up to this game on certain players for Barcelona and whether they will be available to play after injury or not. One of which is key man Pedri.

There has been hope that Pedri would be able to play at Stamford Bridge, but this has been extinguished. According to Sport, Barcelona have decided to take no risks with their star midfielder, as they do not want a repeat of the situation with Raphinha, who suffered a relapse of his own hamstring injury last month.
However, Marcus Rashford is set to be available to play after some concerns that he might not make it.
Rashford has been on fire for Barcelona so this is obviously bad news for Chelsea. But it’s good news that Pedri is not going to make it because he is a key player for them and helps them dictate the play.
