Tamires to miss Corinthians v Ferroviária as TV duty keeps her in Rio | OneFootball

Corinthians will be without left-back Tamires for Friday's Paulista Feminino game against Ferroviária at Fazendinha, as she remains on Globo's Central da Copa covering the World Cup in Rio de Janeiro.

According to Meu Timao, the programme is recorded in Rio, so she is unavailable. She is due back in São Paulo on Saturday night, but is still expected to miss Monday's Copa do Brasil tie with Ferroviária.

On the eve of the match, she confirmed she would not be available and wished her team-mates well on air, saying she plans to be back next week.

In her absence, Juliete is the only natural left-back in the squad and is likely to keep her place in the starting XI.

Lelê remains in physical transition after posterior thigh tendinopathy, and Agustina is recovering from a recurrent contracture associated with a scar on her left leg.

Away from the squad, Tamires is following a plan from Corinthians' health and performance unit, and has shared jogs, gym work and mobility drills on social media.

Corinthians sit fourth on four points from three rounds, while Ferroviária lead with nine, ahead of São Paulo on six and Red Bull Bragantino on five.
