Taylor Harwood-Bellis’ Southampton wages

Harwood-Bellis made the permanent move to Southampton in the 2024 summer transfer window after initially arriving at St. Mary’s on loan from Manchester City the year prior.

The centre-back has cemented himself as a key figure for the Hampshire outfit, and he made 41 appearances this season as the team earned a fourth-place finish.

The 24-year-old also contributed an impressive seven goals and one assist, becoming a standout player in the division as the Saints climbed the Championship table under Tonda Eckert.

Harwood-Bellis has a contract with Southampton until June 2028, meaning he is now entering the last two years of his deal.

The defender agreed terms with the club in 2024 worth £7,500 per week when he arrived from Man City.

Other players paid a similar wage include Jay Robinson, who earns £7,500-a-week, and Joachim Kayi Sanda, who is on £8,000-a-week.

Meanwhile, the highest paid player in Tonda Eckert’s squad is Finn Azaz, with the 2025 summer signing receiving £50,000 per week.

It has been reported that West Ham’s players will have to take a 50 percent pay cut as a result of relegation to the Championship.

Nevertheless, Jarrod Bowen’s new wage of £75,000 per week still exceeds the highest salary in Southampton’s squad.

Alphonse Areola’s wages will drop to £60,000-a-week, which is also greater than the Saints’ best paid player in Azaz.

So this shows Harwood-Bellis the kind of salary he could receive if he makes the switch away from St. Mary’s this summer.

Players with a similar wage in West Ham’s squad include Freddie Potts, who will earn £7,500 per week from next season, and he started 12 of his 22 Premier League appearances in 2025/26.

So there is no doubt that the centre-back could be in line for a major increase in salary if he makes the move to the London Stadium this summer.

However, West Ham also face competition from the likes of Hull City and Coventry City in the race for his signature, with both of those clubs preparing for life in the Premier League this summer.
