Martin O’Neill has named his Celtic team for this afternoon’s Scottish Premiership clash with Motherwell. The Irishman will be hoping to record a win against the high flying Fir Park side to put pressure on Hearts, who are away to Kilmarnock later today.

The Celtic boss has named Kieran Tierney and Colby Donovan in the fullback berths with KT returning after missing the win at Ibrox in the Cup last week. Callum McGregor remains out as do a raft of first team players but one omission is Julian Araujo, who has been excellent since joining on loan from Bournemouth.

In goals, Vil Sinisalo continues between the sticks.

In defence, a back four of Colby Donovan, Benjamin Arthur, Liam Scales and the returning Kieran Tierney.

In midfield, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain plays alongside Reo Hatate and Benjamin Nygren.

In attack, Daizen Maeda leads the line with Seb Tounekti and Yang out wide.

A noticeable addition to the bench is Kelechi Iheanacho, who has struggled for game time this year. The Nigerian forward is arguably Celtic’s best option when fit but this has been an issue for him recently.

Subs: Doohan, Cvancara, McCowan, Iheanacho, Bernardo, Saracchi, Murray, Forrest, Ralston.

There are a few omissions from the squad – namely January signings Junior Adamu and Mvuka.
