Edin Terzic and Dario Orlando were born three days apart in Menden to immigrant families, and their bond has never dimmed. Orlando reflects on a shared childhood and backs Terzic at San Mamés from this summer.

"Our parents were in the same hospital and shared a room. They became friends and today we are inseparable," Orlando said. El Correo reports that he added they still meet and it feels like no time has passed.

Orlando is technical director at Federnwerk Franz-Josef Höppe GmbH in Menden, and also runs Konstruktion & Service Orlando, a digital design and 3D printing firm. He is married with two children.

They came through Östrich-Iserlohn from B youth, facing Dortmund and Schalke under Oliver Ruhnert, later of Schalke and Union Berlin. "We were a formidable duo," Orlando said. "I was quick and skilful, Edin was strong in the air and very team minded."

Nicknamed Ortec, they reached the Streetsoccer Cup final in 1995-1996 and won the DFB Adidas Cup in 2000. Terzic later spent 2013-2017 with Slaven Bilic at Besiktas and West Ham in Istanbul and London.

On 5 November 2019, with Terzic assisting Lucien Favre, Dortmund beat Inter 3-2 after trailing 0-2, Achraf Hakimi scoring twice. Orlando said he always follows the team his friend coaches, even above Inter.

He plans trips to Bilbao next season. "He always gives everything, he is ambitious and decisive, and I wish my brother great success."
