Blues fail to win a Premier League game for the first time under Liam Rosenior after throwing away a 2-0 lead at home to Leeds
Liam Rosenior has warned his Chelsea players “that cannot happen again” after a six-minute loss of concentration saw them give up a two-goal lead to draw at home with Leeds in the Premier League.
After Joao Pedro and Cole Palmer put Chelsea 2-0 up in the second half, two goals in six minutes by Lukas Nmecha and Noah Okafor completed an unlikely comeback by Leeds and saw Chelsea drop points in the league for the first time under Rosenior.
Chelsea remain in fifth place after their draw as Manchester United, one place and one point above them, also drew in their match at West Ham.
Speaking after the game, Rosenior said: “Anything can happen in football when you don't take care of key moments.
“That's why we watch the game. I hope people can see the progression already, considering we've [played] ten games in 30 days. It's a clear change and no disrespect to anything that's happened before.
“There's a change in the things I like to see, but what I really want to see is three points on the board every week.”
Rosenior was disappointed by his team losing focus and added: “When we lead at 2-0, the game should be done at home, and there are certain things I can show the players so we make sure that that can't happen again.
“I was frustrated after the second goal with a couple of things that I'll show the players.”
